This study aims to determine: 1) the partial influence of school principal leadership as a supervisor on teacher performance at State Junior High Schools in Paranginan District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency; 2) the partial influence of school principal leadership as a motivator on teacher performance; and 3) the simultaneous influence of school principal leadership as both supervisor and motivator on teacher performance. This research employed a quantitative survey approach. The population and sample consisted of 63 teachers from State Junior High Schools in Paranginan District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire comprising 20 items to measure Variable Y (Teacher Performance), 20 items for Variable X1 (School Principal Leadership as Supervisor), and 20 items for Variable X2 (School Principal Leadership as Motivator). The instrument was pre-tested on 30 teachers at UPT SMPN 002 Pasaribu, Doloksanggul District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. The pre-test results indicated that all questionnaire items were valid and reliable. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis and parametric statistical analysis. The analysis results show that: 1) there is a positive influence of school principal leadership as a supervisor on teacher performance at State Junior High Schools in Paranginan District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, with a contribution of 28.8%, a strong correlation value of 0.537, a linear equation of Y = 37.648 + 0.561X1, and a calculated t-value (t-count) of 4.968, which is greater than the t-table value (n-2 = 61) of 2.000; 2) There is a positive influence of the school principal's leadership—acting as a motivator—on teacher performance at state junior high schools (UPT SMP Negeri) in Paranginan District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, with a contribution of 27.8%, a strong correlation value of 0.527, a linear equation of Y = 37.537 + 0.546X, and t-calculated (4.843) > t-table (n-2 = 61; 2.000); and 3) there is a positive influence of the school principal's leadership—acting simultaneously as both supervisor and motivator—on teacher performance at state junior high schools in Paranginan District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, with a contribution of 40.9%, a strong correlation value (R) of 0.639, a multiple linear regression equation of Y = 19.239 + 0.410X1 + 0.390X2, and F-calculated (20.733) > F-table (k-1, n-k; 2, 61; 3.15). Thus the research hypothesis is accepted.
